DTownTV.com is the new show/internet TV from Kelby Media Group, I really discovered this website reading in Matt Klowskosky Blog and decide to visit, well my point is this, last show this guys talked about LENS, what is DX, FX, what lens to use, don’t get me wrong America, but this is my question, Why you have to create confusion in the people mind????, is easy to say that Nikon F Mount is 50 Years old, and YOU CAN USE any Nikkor Lens in ANY Nikon Camera that support F Mount, well, the confusion between FX and DX created a lot of commentaries in the website.

But this is pretty EASY Scott, F Mount is universal for Nikon bodies that support it, now, cameras with APC-S sensor, YES you should CONSIDER DX lenses; actually this one are made specific for this sensor format, but here is the catch, are you considering upgrade one day, is this question is YES, well reconsider, and like an inversion buy Full Frame FX lenses, they will work perfect in CROP Factor (1.5 x of the actual Focal Distance) and, of course you can use them in your full frame body. Just have in mind 85mm f1.8 Nikkor is really 127.5mm, 50mm f1.8 is now 75mm, remember to do your numbers, but when you get used to, is that easy.

In my case I use 24-70mm f2.8 from Sigma (View example) and 70-200mm f2.8 Sigma too (View example), the only DX lens I use is the Simga 10-20 DC HSM f4-5.6 (View example), I even shoot with this DX lens in my Nikon F100 just to have fun.

Another point that catch my attention, MINIMUM APERTURE!!

well Scott this is when you CLOSE, you hear me, you close the lens: f32, f22, etc….. f3.5-5.6 IS NOT THE MINIMUM APERTURE. i understand anybody can have a glitch and i hope you correct this in the next shows.

Nothing more to say, this brilliant idea of DTownTV.com is just that a BRILLIANT idea for us Nikon shooter/users and hope that guy in my local camera shop understand that Nikon is Nikon.

Happy Light Hunting
