Hello there;<\/p>\n

Just when we were leaving the Little Lake, we stopped by this place, a short trail with a few Liguus Fasciatus, we dedicated a few minutes to capture a few shots, \u00a0the snails were around, but not the way we wanted, a few only to be honest, so here are the results:<\/p>\n

By using the speed light I did get more details, take a look at the mosquitoes in the second photo, they were every where:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I have to say, this creatures are magic, I do remember always wanted to photographed them back in Cuba, can’t do nothing over there cause if film related issues or, just the camera equipment, and I have to tell you this, BW photography don’t do any good to the majestic colors of the Liguus Fasciatus and the surrounded environment.<\/p>\n

Other thing that I wanted to document was the camera setup, D300 with a Sigma 17-70mm f\/2.8-4.5 DC Macro Autofocus Lens, and Nikon SB800 for light compensation, here a few shots of the setup:<\/p>\n

And just in my way back, found Juan Carlos filming a snail, take a look:<\/p>\n

very good indeed, a short time, great photos, another thing I do want to say is \u00a0“...The tree snail is listed as a species of special concern in Florida. They are threatened by illegal collection of their shells, pesticide spraying and destruction of habitat. If you come across these delicate jewels of the hammock, please do not disturb them…<\/strong><\/em>”<\/p>\n
